Etsy Picks, Volume IV

We all love handmade gifts, but the time and effort that goes into making one can be stressful, and let’s face it, some of us were not made for the DIY life. Luckily, we have Etsy to help us in that gift giving department. From jewelry to home decor, these are our picks for the best and unique finds from this awesome website. Here’s the latest on our favorite Etsy shop discoveries!

1. Caitlyn Minimalist

A combination of minimalism and meaning gives this shop a unique edge in the jewelry business. Caitlyn Minimalist specializes in handcrafted dainty jewelry that’s essentially designed by you, the customer! From signatures to special sayings, this shop lets you add a one-of-a-kind touch to the jewelry that you wear. Not only is the jewelry featuring handwritten messages stunning, but their dainty coordinates rings are also super unique and personal.

2. The Fox And The Mermaid

If you are looking for some bohemian-esque home decor that will liven up your space, look no further. The Fox And The Mermaid gives you that boho chic look with their vibrant mandala designs. Whether you want to hang a wall tapestry in your bedroom or drape a cover over your dog’s bed, these designs will ensure that your accents are anything but boring. We especially love their round tapestries, which look absolutely perfect for a day at the beach or out for a picnic.

3. Maybe Mabel Handmade

One of the best things about Etsy is how many shops out there exemplify just how seamless eco-consciousness and fashion can be. Maybe Mabel Handmade makes handbags, makeup bags, totes, laptop cases, and even keychains that have refined and playful characteristics–and everything is hand-constructed out of cotton fabric and recycled leather. One of our favorite pieces is the fold over detachable clutch bag, which can be used as an evening clutch or daytime crossbody handbag. The combination of this particular print and the recycled leather gives this bag a fun and classy look, resulting in a piece that can be used day or night with ease.

4. Mint Threads

If you love thrifting, but without going to a dusty, old thrift shop, Mint Threads is the best middle man around, in our opinion. This shop has vintage sweaters, blazers, flannels, jeans, and other pieces that you will be obsessed with. There is one catch though: several of the items for sale are mystery items, which means that you don’t get to choose the exact article of clothing you’ll receive and won’t find out what you get till it arrives. We don’t think there’s anything to worry about though, because if the item that you’re getting resembles the pictures they show, then you’ll be in for a treat. If you love vintage clothing coupled with the added element of surprise, you’ll love this place.

5. Wildflower + Co.

Do you have quirky taste? Wildflower and Company has fun and creative items that you will absolutely adore. Comprised of art school grads, this company is all about DIY supplies, kits, and tutorials. From patches to pins, this stuff is sure to add some character to any item you attach it to! We’re personally eyeing their Southwestern Patch Set, which we think would be perfect for a denim jacket or backpack.

6. iDede Case

Other than purchasing a new phone, one of the most exciting things to do is shop for a phone cover. Stationed in Los Angeles, CA, iDede Case is an Etsy shop that makes cases for iPhones, iPads, Samsungs, and LG devices. Both their clear rubber and 3D print phone cases come in all kinds of cool designs that we’re totally into. We’re particularly lusting over their Abalone shell phone case, which gives off some serious mermaid vibes.

7. Luna Reece

These ceramic vases will make you want to delve into the planting life. Luna Reece makes beautiful and functional ceramic planters, dishes, and cups that you can add to your home or even your cubicle at work. Our favorite piece from the collection would be the Frida Khalo Planter that has a childlike charm to it! This piece is full of character, and would be a perfect gift for any art lover. Planting succulents or lilies would be a great way to adorn this masterpiece of a vase.

Every day, more and more creative people open up shops on Etsy. It is a magical virtual marketplace that we all love to browse, and we constantly find new and exciting items to add to our shopping cart. Whether you are looking for the perfect gift for your loved one or just want to treat yourself, you’ll always find something on Etsy!
